SOUTH WRAXALL CLUB

Welcome to the South Wraxall Club, a friendly social hub in the heart of Lower South Wraxall dating back to the early 1700s. Established originally as a Liberal Club in 1890, it's been a beloved gathering spot for residents and friends of the village since 1925.

Today, the Club warmly welcomes members and guests from near and far, offering a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy good company, pool and darts, a few drinks and and a supportive community spirit.

Our busy events calendar includes sports screenings, fundraising events, barbecues, wine tastings, band nights and concerts.

We’re actively welcoming new members so please pop in any time!

We’re open Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from 7.00pm to 11.00pm.

🎱 Pool Ladder Launch

Hosted by Jonathan every Sunday evening
Starts: Sunday 19 April 2026
Runs: 8 weeks (until Sunday 7 June 2026)
When: Sunday evenings (~7pm/7.30pm kick-off – tbc)
Format: Challenge ladder – play matches, climb rankings weekly
Prizes: Top of the ladder wins the title + bragging rights!
Wooden Spoon for the bottom – the ultimate booby prize! 🥄
All welcome – beginners to pros. No entry fee – just turn up, play, enjoy bar drinks!
Launch night on 19 April – sign-ups, rules explained, first challenges.

🍻 Kelvin Hancock Memorial Beer Festival

Saturday 6 June
Plans are proceeding nicely for the Kelvin Hancock Memorial Beer Festival!
There will be a selection of local ales, seared flesh of beast/vegetable equivalents and, along with a growing lineup of local music, we’ll be asking you to put quill to parchment - you may have registered Jimmy’s poetic excursions of late and we’ll be asking you to match or even exceed his iambic pentametric skills by entering the Club Poetry Competition!
We’re aiming for live performance of entries and appropriate judgment and victorious announcements on the day of the festival - watch this space for rules etc as soon as we’ve worked them out…
